Case study · Arcade game
Binxi Cat
One tap, total destruction. A pixel cat with a philosophy — everything falls — wrapped in a daily challenge, streaks, and a reason to come back tomorrow.
-

A "tonight" hub that gives you a reason to open the app after the game is over.
-

Daily tasks that stack across every run — small goals, quick payoffs.
-

Streaks unlock cosmetics — a halo for showing up seven days running.
-

Every result is a shareable moment — with commentary from a cat who judges you.
The idea
A one-thumb arcade game built around a single, universally understood truth: cats knock things off shelves. Tap, and Binxi swats whatever drifts into reach. The whole game is legible in one second — the depth is in the timing, the daily challenge, and the cat's attitude.
The approach
The hard part of a casual game isn't the first tap — it's the second day. Binxi wraps the core loop in the things that bring people back: a shared Daily run everyone plays, stackable daily tasks, streaks that unlock cosmetics, and a result screen engineered to be screenshotted.
Binxi himself does a lot of the work. His running commentary gives each score a voice, so a wipeout is funny instead of frustrating and a new best feels like a bit shared with a friend.
What we built
A native iOS game in Swift and SpriteKit: one-tap gameplay across difficulties, a daily challenge, a level-based journey, daily tasks and streaks, unlockable characters and cosmetics, and share cards built for the result moment.
